Thank you for coming to my site. I truly hope that the resources provided at Recovery on Demand will help you on your path. I have been blessed with the opportunity to learn at one of the top treatment centers in the country and want to share my knowledge and experience with those with a desire to change, to learn and to grow. I have learned more in the past few years of my life than in all my years before. I remain bewildered by the fact that many of us, myself included, were not given the tools we need to protect our mind, body and spirit on this journey called life. Together we can take back our power, find peace and learn to truly love ourselves. The process is challenging and at times the answers may not be clear, but they will come and you will gain a new understanding of yourself. This awareness is what will allow you to change. We can’t fault ourselves for not being able to see in the dark. So, let’s turn on the lights and see what is there.
The root of many difficulties is based in the fact that somewhere along the way we came to believe that we are not valuable and loveable, we even stopped loving ourselves. The path of recovery is about learning to love and accept yourself.
We treat the things we value with the utmost of care. I use the analogy of a beautiful emerald ring that I received as a gift. It is absolutely beautiful and I love to see it sparkle on my hand. This ring is precious to me. It is very valuable and I could not replace it. I don’t wear my ring when I am going to be doing manual labor and when I remove it, I take it off and put it directly into my jewelry box, where it is held delicately between two pieces of velvet. I hide it or wear it when there is any chance it could be stolen. Because it is precious I avoid putting it in a situation in which it could be harmed and I handle it with kid gloves. I want you to learn to see yourself this way: as precious and worthy of only the best care.
If you learn to see yourself as precious and irreplaceable, you will not put yourself in harms way, you will surround yourself with greatness and you will protect yourself from those with ill-intent. I hope that you will come to realize that there is nothing more precious than human life. Including yours. Especially yours.
With Love & Light,
